Tessa-isms:

The world through the eyes of a pre-schooler.

Tessa and I are looking through the shoe store. Tessa points to a pair of name brand shoes and I subconsiously say the brand out loud, "American Eagle."
"What's apparent evil?" Tessa asks?
"What?" I ask amazed at where a four-year-old may have heard the term.
She points to the shoes.
"American Eagle?" I ask?
"Uh huh."
Maybe she DID hear correctly.

...By a Nose

"I have a round nose.
Mamma has a triangle nose.
Vanessa and me have small noses.
Mamma has a big BIG nose."

Momma asks through the closed bathroom door, "Tessa. What are you doing in there?"

"Touching myself."

Mamma slowly opens the bathroom door. Tessa is laying shirtless on the vanity, poking at the face staring back at her through the mirror. Mamma smiles a big sigh of relief.

We are spending the day at the Museum with friends. During lunch at the museum café someone mentions that there's a dog for people who have allergies. (Mamma's very allergic to cats and dogs.) Tessa, half listening to the conversation, half poking at her yogurt blurts out,

"When mamma dies, I'm getting a new puppy!"

After that we went to check out the Body Works exhibit.
